Eric Avila joined the University of the Incarnate Word as the Director of Service in March 2025.
Eric drives innovation in sponsorship and event management. He is responsible for managing all UIW Athletics corporate partnership relationships and fulfillment. With over four years of expertise in sponsorship and 4.5 years in event planning, he is committed to enriching the athletic community and elevating the fan experience. Before UIW, Eric contributed significantly to Visit San Antonio and San Antonio River Walk events.
An MBA graduate from the University of the Incarnate Word and with a Bachelor's in Communication from UTSA, Eric excels at building strategic partnerships and crafting impactful experiences that resonate beyond the field.
