Biography
2017 (Sophomore): Nintcheu-Momo threw a personal best in the discus (146-9) for third place at the Texas State Bobcat Classic. She finished ninth at the Southland conference outdoor championship for a new personal record of 42-11.75.
2016 (Freshman): Nintcheu-Momo kicked off the outdoor season at the Trinity Open 2016 where she finished third, and bettered her mark in the shot put with a throw of 40-4.75. She also claimed a fifth place finish in the discus with a new personal best of 132-11. Nintcheu-Momo was first in the javelin at the UIW Private Quad Invite where she threw 122-0 to put her name in the record book. She showed improvement in the hammer throw and recorded her best distance of the season (122-11) at the J Fred Duckett-Rice Twilight meet. She wrapped up her season at the Southland conference outdoor championships with an eighth place finish in the javelin.
High School: Nintcheu-Momo was on the basketball and track teams at Vandegrift High School. She was a three-time district and two-time area champion in the discus. Her best throw in high school was 126-11 and she also had a toss of 128-6 when she finished fourth at the Junior Olympic Nationals. In the shot put, she was second in the area and fifth in the region with a throw of 39-7. She won the Junior Olympics region meet in the javelin with a throw of 107-0 and then finished seventh at the national meet. She earned academic all-district honors in basketball.
Personal: Nintcheu-Momo is the daughter of Ambroise Legrand Nintcheu and Marie Louise Nanfak and is studying cyber security. She has eight siblings; Guy, Cathy, Roger-Louis, Fabiola, Franchesca, Johan, Junior and Mark. She was born on February 10, 1997 in Cameroon, Africa. She is the first person in her family to attend a university in the United States.
