HIGH SCHOOL: While competing for Byron P. Steele HS, Martinez qualified for the area track meet as a junior and a senior. Additionally, Martinez was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated in the top 10 percent of her class.

PERSONAL: Lauren Ashley Martinez, a Cibolo, Texas native, is the daughter of Karen and Reuben Martinez … she has two siblings Marissa and Lindsey … is a rehabilitative sciences major with hopes of becoming a pediatric physical therapist. Martinez was born on Dec. 11, 2000.
