2015 (Junior): Waring had another strong season for the Cardinals. She became the second fastest indoor 200-meter runner in school history with a time of 24.83 during the prelims at the Southland Conference meet. She set the school record in the indoor high jump clearing 5-7.25 twice during the year. She finished second at the indoor conference meet with a 5-7.25 height. During the outdoor season, she won the high jump at three different meets. She tied her own school record in the high jump with a clearance of 5-8.5 at the UIW Invitational. She ran her two fastest times of the year in the 200 meters at the Southland Conference championships. She ran 24.32 in the prelims and 24.33 in the finals to take fifth. She was on the 4x400-meter relay team that set a school record with a time of 3:49.74 at the UIW Invitational. She was the Southland Conference Track Athlete of the Week once during the season. She earned second team all-conference honors during the indoor season and was on the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
2014 (Sophomore): Â Waring etched her name in the record books when she became the first athlete in the program's history to win a Southland Conference title. Â She won the outdoor high jump with a school record clearance of 5-8.5 and earned first team all-Southland Conference honors. Â During the indoor season, she cleared 5-6 in the high jump at a pair of meets. Â She ran a season best time of 58.13 in the 400 meters at the SLC indoor meet. Â She had a fabulous outdoor season. Â She set the school record in the 200 meters with a time of 24.18 in the prelims at the SLC outdoor meet. Â She also became the second fastest 400-meter runner in school history when she clocked a time of 56.37 at the conference meet. Â She finished second in the 400 meters at Trinity and at A&M-Corpus Christi. Â In the high jump, she did not finish lower than third place in any meet and picked up wins at A&M-Kingsville and the UIW Invitational in addition to the conference meet. Â She cleared 5-7 at three different meets. She was also a member of the 4x400 relay team that had a season best time of 3:54.12 and won the UTSA meet. Â She was named to the Southland Commissioner's Honor Roll and earned SLC All-Academic first team honors.
2013 (Freshman): Waring excelled in both the 400 meters and high jump. She was fourth in the Lone Star Conference in the high jump during the indoor season with a clearance of 5-5. She improved to third place in the LSC in the outdoor season with a leap of 5-5.75. She had a season best clearance of 5-7 when she won the J. Fred Duckett Invitational. She had a season best time of 56.95 in the 400 meters and ran the opening leg on the team's 4x400 relay team. They set the school record with a time of 3:51.38 at the McNeese Invitational. She earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team and Indoor All-Region honors in the high jump. She was the LSC Field Athlete of the Week after her win at the J. Fred Duckett Invitational. She was named to the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
High School: Waring was on the volleyball and track teams at Randolph High School. She was part of a State Championship team in 2012. She was on the State Champion 4x200 and 4x400-meter relay teams. She was a first team all-district performer in volleyball.
Personal: Waring is the daughter of Ed and Ann Waring and is studying rehabilitative sciences. She has a brother, Daniel and was born in Grand Forks, ND on December 27, 1993. Her father played professional basketball overseas.
