University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

2012 (Sophomore):  Peterson was named to the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.  She missed nearly three months of the season with injuries, but competed in the heptathlon at the LSC Outdoor Championships.

2011 (Freshman):  Peterson competed exclusively in the high jump and long jump in her first year.  She competed in all three indoor meets and all eight outdoor meets during the season.

High School:  Peterson was on the volleyball, basketball and track teams at H.M. King High School.  She was the district champion in the high jump.  She earned second team all-district honors in volleyball.  She graduated as the Class Salutatorian.

Personal:  Peterson is the daughter of Pete and Annette Peterson and is studying environmental science with a minor in chemistry.  She has a sister, Leah.  Her father played basketball at Southwestern College and is currently the head coach at Texas A&M-Kingsville.  She was born on February 20, 1992.
