Biography
Sophomore (2012): Gonzalez struggled with injuries throughout the year and only competed during the indoor season.
Freshman (2011): Gonzalez was a sprinter and hurdler indoors and outdoors and also attempted the outdoor heptathlon. She was on the 4x400 relay team that was second at the McNeese State Indoor Invitational. She was a member of the 4x100 relay team that finished 10th at the national meet. She took second place in the 400 hurdles, was seventh in the 100 hurdles and eighth in the long jump at the LSC Championships. She was also on the winning 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams at the conference championships to earn All-Lone Star Conference honors with a total of 16 points in the meet.
High School: Gonzalez was on the soccer, cross country and track teams at Alexander High School. She was a three-time State Qualifier in the 100 hurdles, 100-meter dash and 300 hurdles. She set Laredo city records in the 100 meters, 100 hurdles, 200 meters and long jump. She was the Laredo Athlete of the Year in 2009. She scored 48 total points at the 2010 District 29-5A Championships. She was a three-time District 29-5A champion in the 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles, 100 meters and long jump. She won an international poetry contest and had the poem published in 2007.
Personal: Gonzalez is the daughter of Michael Gonzalez and Carmina Aguilar and is studying international business with a minor in fashion design. She has two siblings, Nathan and Julian Ramos. She was born on October 14, 1991.
