University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

2014 (Freshman):  Reed had a successful freshman campaign as a multi-event athlete for the Cardinals.  She was 15th in the Southland Conference in the indoor pentathlon and improved to 12th in the outdoor heptathlon.  She also ran the open 100 hurdles at most meets.  Her top time in the event was 15.11 at UTSA.  She scored 2,743 points in her first career pentathlon.  She set the school record in the heptathlon with 4,456 points at the UIW Invitational where she finished in second place.  She had 4,214 points at the outdoor conference meet in the heptathlon.

High School:  Reed was on the basketball, track and cheerleading teams at La Vernia High School.  She went to Regionals two years in track and finished third in the 100-meter hurdles.  She led the basketball team to the playoffs.  She was a member of the National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Personal:  Reed is the daughter of Jerry and Ruth Reed and is studying biology.  She has a sister, Megan.  She was born on July 24, 1995.
