Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll

2017 (Junior): Joyner finished fourth in the high jump at the indoor conference championship.She ran a 24.89 for a personal best time in the 200 meter dash at the Texas State Bobcat Classic. Outdoors, she recorded a fifth place finish in the high jump at the Southland conference meet. 

2016 (Sophomore): Joyner was a part of the women's DMR who finished fifth at the indoor conference championship. She also ran a 57.19 to improve on her indoor 400 meter time for a tenth place finish amongst Southland competitors. At the Texas State Bobcat Classic she recorded a personal best time of 24.93 in the 200 meter dash and cleared 5'7 in the high jump . Joyner ran a personal best in the preliminary round of the 400 meter dash as she crossed the line in 55.80 seconds and went on to finish seventh in the event. She anchored the 4x400 relay to a fifth place. 

2015 (Freshman):  Joyner had a strong season for the Cardinals in the 400 meters and high jump.  She ran her best indoor 400-meter time at the Southland Conference championships with a time of 57.55 and she also cleared 5-4.25 at the same meet.  During the outdoor season, she won the 400 meters at both UIW meets.  She ran a season best time of 56.24 in the 400 meters at the SLC outdoor championships in the prelims and finished eighth in the finals.  She also cleared a season best 5-5.25 in the high jump to take fifth in the conference.  She was the Southland Conference Track Athlete of the Week after winning the 400 meters and anchoring the winning 4x400-meter relay team at the UIW Invitational.  She was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

High School:  Joyner was on the basketball and track teams at O'Connor High School.  She was the team MVP three straight years and holeds the school record in the 400 meters (55.8) and 200 meters (25.4).  She helped lead the team to district, area and regional titles.  She was a member of the National Honor Society and the National Society of High School Scholars.

Personal:  Joyner is the daughter of Crystal Joyner and is studying music industry studies.  She has a sister, Elisa.  She was born on September 17, 1995.
