Biography
High School: Acuña was all-district all four years at Bowswell HS (2016-19) … earned all-region nods her sophomore through her senior year (2017-19) as well as all-state her last two years (2018, 2019) … was named Most Valuable Runner four years in a row as a Pioneer (2016-19). As a student Acuña was as member of the choir, the National Honor Society, the Philosophy Club and the Principal’s Cabinet.
Personal: Andrea Zulema Acuña is the daughter of Andrew and Lorrie Acuña … has four siblings … father was as cross country and track & field student-athlete at North Texas (1990-1994) … is pursuing a major in psychology with a minor in Spanish … was born in Fort Worth on June 30, 2002.
