Biography

2023-24: Due to injury, Lyric only competed in the Southland Conference Tournament at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles. 

2022-23:
Lyric finished the season with a 10-9 singles record at positions one through five. In SLC play, she finished 5-1 in singles and 4-2 in doubles. She was also named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2020-21 (SOPHOMORE)
  • Paired with Kathleen Percegona to to forge a solid mark of 4-2 at No. 3 doubles.
  • Duo peeled off four straight wins in doubles in the middle of the season.
  • Also partnered with Veronika Lebisova and Eve Daniels.
  • Saw action in three singles matches.
2019-20 (FRESHMAN)

PRIOR TO UTEP:
  • Transfer who competed in the fall of 2019 at the University of Tennessee.
  • Collected four total wins (two singles, two doubles) in a pair of competitions with the Lady Vols.
  • Native of Texas who was ranked in the top 10 of Texas Women's Open Division.
  • Held national rankings for U12's, U14's and U16's.
  • Has been playing tennis for seven years.
  • Her brother, Rudy, played tennis at UIW.
  • In high school she was a four-year honor roll member, in addition to being a National Honor Society member, Spanish National Honor Society Member and graduated in the top-10 percent of her class.
