Brandi Bratek joined Tom Rees’ staff as the volunteer assistant coach in December of 2021. Bratek played collegiately at Florida Southern College where she grew interested in the field of Sport Psychology. She attended San Diego State University (SDSU) to obtain her Master’s degree in Sport Psychology. She interned with the women’s tennis team at SDSU and with the women’s coaching staff at University of California, Berkeley. She has since worked as the assistant coach at the University of Arkansas and has been a tennis teaching professional at clubs all around the United States.

In 2013, her primary focus was working with Army soldiers in the areas of improving cognitive performance and increasing resilience. In Fall 2020, she relocated to San Antonio and began working with Air Force student pilots and their instructors as a Cognitive Performance Specialist. Bratek continues to work with tennis players ranging from nationally ranked juniors to professional level players on the mental sides of their games. She still competes nationally in adult tournaments, where she has won two national doubles titles and is currently ranked 4th in the United States in Women’s 40s.
