Emily Tucker

Emily Tucker, a former UIW synchronized swimmer, returned to her alma mater in 2016 as an assistant coach of the highly decorated synchro team.

Tucker graduated magna cum laude from UIW in 2008 with a BS in kinesiology, where she was a member of the Dean's List. She was a member of the synchro team from 2004-08, where she was team captain and the team placed third overall.

From 2006-08, Tucker was a member of the USA Synchronized Swimming National Team II, where she placed second in the 2008 Olympic Duet Trials and placed first at both the US and Swiss Opens.

Tucker was originally an assistant coach of UIW synchro from 2008-11 under head coach, Kim Wurzel-Lo Porto. She joins former teammate, Elizabeth Gerdin, in a new era of Cardinal synchro.

Tucker, originally from Santa Rosa, Calif., is married to Jeremy and the two have a daughter, Eleanor. She is certified with the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS), and USA Weightlifting.
