University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

2014-15 (Freshman):  Meyer participated in the freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and individual medley events. She finished in first place at Rice and against Southwestern in the 200 backstroke and she also won the 200 IM at Trinity.  Her time of 57.0 in the 100 backstroke at Texas was the fifth fastest time in school history.  During the UIW Christmas Invitational she posted the school's second fastest time in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:03.98.  She was named to the CCSA All-Academic Team.

High School:  Meyer was a member of the swim team at James Bowie High School.  She was a Winter Nationals qualifier in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:05.92.  She was an NCSA Junior Nationals qualifier on the long course and short course.  She was a Junior Nationals qualifier.  She earned All-State honors as a freshman, sophomore and junior and was twice named to the All-American Interscholastic Team.  She was a four-time academic all-district choice and was twice the Austin ISD District Athlete of the Meet.  She was the Cap 2,000-meter Open Water State Champion twice.  She was on the 2012-13 USA Swimming Scholastic All-America Team and she earned the 2012-13 Athletic Achievement Award for Sportsmanship and Outstanding Achievement in Swimming.  She did club swimming for four years for Longhorn Aquatics and Nitro.

Personal:  Meyer is the daughter of Robert and Susan Meyer and is studying Rehab Science.  She has a brother, Bobby.
