Biography

2023: Porter had a standout final season with the Cardinals, accumulating 1,072 yards (No. 2 in the nation) and seven touchdowns. He finished No. 2 in the nation for receiving yards per game with 107.2 while sitting at No. 9 for receptions per contest. Porter is second in the Southland Conference for all-purpose yards, while sitting in first place for receptions per game and receiving yards per game. He was named to the 2023 Southland Preseason All-Conference Team, the Phil Steele Preseason All-Southland Team, the Bluebloods Preseason All-Southland Team, Southland Offensive Player of the Week (2x), FCS Honorable Mention Player of the Week, and First Team Offense Phil Steele Midseason All American Team. Porter was announced as a finalist for the Walter Payton Award. He was crowned the Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Year while earning First Team All-Conference status. Dave Campbell named him Wide Receiver of the Year for the 2023 All-Texas Non-FBS Team. Porter was selected as a 2023 Associated Press All-American as well as a 2023 FCS Football Central All American. Phl Steele Named Porter to the FCS 2023 All-American Second Team and the Southland 2023 All-Conference First Team and the 2023 Southland Offensive Player of the Year. 

2022: While battling through injuries porter continued with his electric college football career with the Cardinals in 2022 posting 37 receptions for 601-yards and 6 TDs in 11 games. Porter was electric throughout the season, posting 5 games with over 60 receiving yards and 2 multi-touchdown games. His best appearance came against Texas A&M-Commerce where he had 7 receptions for 127 yards and 1 touchdown. A big play maker, Porters longest reception came against SELA where he caught a 54-yard pass.

Northern Arizona 2021: Played in 3 games for NAU during the 2021 season, catching 5 passes for 32 yards and a touchdown. Rushed 1 time for 15 yards.
Spring 2021: Played in 3 games for the Lumberjacks during the spring, catching 9 passes for 137 yards... Also rushed for 13 yards on 2 attempts... Led the Lumberjacks with 4 catches for 54 yards in his season debut against Weber State.

Northern Arizona 2019: Played in all 12 games while registering 9 starts at receiver... Earned HERO Sports Sophomore All-America (First Team)... also named to the Second Team All-Big Sky at receiver... Set the program record for receptions in a season with 85... Finishing with 1,198 yards, Porter landed second all-time in receiving yards in a single season... 10 touchdowns also placed him tied for 6th all-time for a single season... Set multiple career-highs in his first full season at receiver... 152 yards against Northern Colorado (10/5) set a career high while also scoring a pair of touchdowns against the Bears... Scored 2 touchdowns in 4 different games, 3 of which came in the Walkup Skydome... Pair of third quarter touchdowns against Northern Colorado helped NAU take the lead on the way to a victory... Caught 10 passes against Southern Utah (11/16), accounting for nearly a third of the team’s completed passes... Also completed a 55-yard touchdown pass in the opener against Missouri State (8/29) as he hit Stacy Chukwumezie for the score, the first touchdown pass of the season for the Lumberjacks... Ranked third in the Big Sky with his 85 receptions, as well as second for touchdown receptions and receiving yards... Yardage total and receptions per game finished 8th in the FCS... Reached 100 yards receiving in 7 Big Sky games... Finished with at least 70 receiving yards in 10 of 12 games this past season

Northern Arizona 2018: Was one of the most versatile players for NAU seeing time at wide receiver, running back and quarterback...rushed for 432 yards on 63 carries for an average of 6.1 yards per touch...made two starts under center and appeared in all 10 games...completed 10-of-30 pass attempts for 154 yards and three touchdowns...also caught 28 passes for 325 yards and a score...averaged 11.6 yards per reception...caught five passes for 29 yards in win at FBS member UTEP (9/1)...rang up 30 yards on four receptions vs. Eastern Washington (9/8)...made five receptions for 56 yards and broke a 20-yard run at Missouri State (9/15)...broke out vs. Southern Utah for 104 receiving yards and a touchdown on five catches, including a 68-yard score...also posted 37 yards on six rushes vs. the Thunderbirds...hauled in three receptions for 65 yards vs. Weber State (10/6)...rushed for 115 yards on 11 carries vs. Cal Poly (10/26)...posted a season-best 157 ground yards and a touchdown on 27 carries at UC Davis (11/3).
