Prior to UIW:
High School: Gonzalez earned first at the Individual Regional Qualifier in 2015... Also took third individually at the District Tournament... Was a Team Regional Qualifier and placed third individually at the District Tournament in 2016... Selected as one of 100 students for the Health and Science Magnet Program... Member of the National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Health and Occupation Students of America (HOSA) and volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
Personal: Daughter of Gerardo and Claudia Gonzalez, Silke has one brother, Jerry... Majoring in Psychology, Silke hopes to attend graduate school and become a professor of Psychology.
