Biography
Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll (2019, 2018, 2017, 2016)
2018 (Junior): Competed in six meets for the Cardinals including an appearance in the 2018 NCAA South Central Regional where she clocked a 6k career best of 23:34.4 … her best finish of the season was 18th at the UIW Invitational.

2017 (Sophomore): Saw action in six meets … clocked a personal best in the 5k at the Chile Pepper XC Festival of 19:08.4 … finished with a personal best in the 4.1K race at the Aggie Opener with a time of 16:54.9.

2016 (Freshman): Competed in five events … best finish was at the UIW XC Invitational where she placed 10th.
High School: Hernandez holds the school record in both the 3 mile and 5k. A three year captain, she was also a three-time All-South Texas honoree. She is in the Top 10 record list in the 1 mile, 2 mile, and 800m. She finished seventh in 5A state in cross country and earned All-State accolades. She was a member of the National Honor Society who won the Fall 2016 Leadership Award.
Personal: Hernandez is the daughter of Melissa and Victor Hernandez and is majoring in biology. Her father, Victor, was a member of the Texas A&M track and cross country teams. She has two sisters, Victoria and Catherine. She was born on December 8.
