2013 (Junior): Garza ran a season best time of 22.59.1 for a 6K run at the SLC Championship, where she took 27th place. She had three top ten finishes on the year. She finished in second place at the Alamo City Opener 4K, third place at the TLU Invitational 3.25 M and took seventh place at the UIW Cardinal Invitational 6K after posting a time of 23.24.11.

She crossed the finish line in second place at the Alamo City 4K after running a time of 15:29. She was named to the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll. She earned All-Lone Star Conference and USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors.

2011 (Freshman): Garza was named to the Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll. She had three top-25 finishes during the season including a sixth place showing at the UIW Invitational. She clocked a season best 20:15.2 over the 5K course. She took 22nd place at the LSC Championships crossing the tape in 23:38 for the 6K race. She was eight seconds faster two weeks later at the NCAA South Central Region Championships.

High School: Garza was a three-sport athlete at St. Anthony's. She was the State Runner-up in the 800, 1600 and 3200 meters and was a national qualifier in the 1500 meters. She earned Academic All-America honors.

Personal: Garza is studying Rehabilitative Science and was born on April 3, 1993. She is a member of Alpha Lambda Delta.
