2013 (Junior): Waltrip provided a near carbon copy of her sophomore season. She only hit .186 with two home runs, but once again played outstanding defense. She committed the first error of her career late in the season and only allowed three passed balls. She had a double and drove in two runs against Southeastern Oklahoma. She went 3-for-3 with a run against St. Edward's. She had another three-hit performance against Abilene Christian when she hit a home run and drove in two runs. She cracked her second homer of the year against Cameron. She was a member of the Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
2012 (Sophomore): Waltrip set a school record by not committing an error in 166 chances during the season. She played in 35 games and hit .212 with a pair of home runs and 11 RBI’s. She began the season by going 2-for-3 with a double and a home run against Texas A&M-International on Feb. 2. She had two hits, a double and drove in two against A&M-International on Feb. 16. She cracked a solo home run against Eastern New Mexico on Mar. 16. She was named to the Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
2011 (Freshman): Waltrip appeared in nine games and started six games at catcher during the season. She went 2-for-2 with a run scored, an RBI and a double against Northeastern State on Apr. 2. She was 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and run scored against Texas A&M-International on Apr. 12.
High School: Waltrip played softball at Casa Robles High School. She a three-time Scholar-Athlete award winner and three-time C.A.L. All-League selection. She was named All-Metro honorable mention as a junior. She was part of three C.A.L. championship teams and led the team to the Sac-Joaquin Section championship as a senior.
Personal: Waltrip is the daughter of Barry and Dena Waltrip and is studying accounting with a minor in criminal justice. Her sister, Whitney, also plays on the UIW softball team. She was born on April 29, 1992.
