University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

2013 (Freshman):  Patek was the team's back-up first baseman and third pitcher.  She notched her first career save when she pitched 0.2 scoreless innings at St. Edward's.  She picked up her first win on the same day when she tossed a complete game in the nightcap allowing just two runs in 7.0 innings.  She recorded another save when she closed out the game against St. Mary's with 2.1 scoreless innings.  She had a double and two RBI's against St. Edward's on February 3.  She was 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI's against Texas A&M-International.  She finished the year with a .296 batting average, tops among the team's freshmen.  She was named to the Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

High School:  Patek was a four-time all-district pitcher at Tomball High School.  She was a second team selection her first three years and then took home first team honors as a senior.  She was named second team All-State utility player as a senior.  She was a three-time academic all-district choice.  She led the team to four straight State playoff appearances including a State semifinal spot as a sophomore.  She graduated in the top 2% of her class.

Personal:  Patek is the daughter of Charles and Stacy Patek and is studying biology.  She has a sister, Kassie, and is related to former Kansas City Royal Freddy Patek.  She was born on November 13, 1993.
