Celina Castillo

Castillo joined the UIW softball staff prior to the 2014-15 academic year.  A former teammate of Mandee Gamboa's at Angelo State, she understands the philosophy of the program.

Castillo is originally from Tucson, Arizona.  She attended Pima Community College where she was on the softball and volleyball teams.  She was the softball team's rookie of the year in 1998.  She transferred to Angelo State following her time at PCC and was on the softball team until an injury ended her career.

Castillo took on the role of student coach for the Rambelles for the 2003 and 2004 seasons.  She was a member of the staff for the team that won the 2004 NCAA Division II national championship.

Castillo received a degree in kinesiology from ASU and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in sports management from UIW.  She is engaged to Clayton Guillory and they have two children, Esteban and Ariana.
