2015 (Junior): Hernandez played in 25 matches as a defensive specialist and she was second on the team in digs with 251, but lead the team with a 2.82 digs per set. She also had 12 aces and she averaged 0.48 assists per set. Hernandez had her best match against Southern were she had 23 digs and three assists. She had double digit digs in 14 of the 25 matches.

2014 (Sophomore): Hernandez played in 31 matches as a defensive specialist or libero. She was third for the Cardinals with 279 digs, but led the team with a 2.88 digs per set.  She had a season high 20 digs against Texas State and Abilene Christian.  She had 14 matches with at least 10 digs.  She served as a secondary setter and picked up 42 assists during the year.  Hernandez was named to the Southland Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2013 (Freshman):  Hernandez appeared in 18 matches as a true freshman mostly as a service substitute.  She served 33 times and only committed one error.  She was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

High School:  Hernandez was on the volleyball team at Antonian College Prep.  As a senior, she led the San Antonio area in digs and digs per set en route to earning TAPPS 5A First Team All-State and All-District honors.  She was also an Academic All-District and All-Area Private School Team selection.  During her junior campaign she earned second team all-district and Honorable Mention All-State honors.  She helped lead Antonian to State titles in 2009 and 2010 and a State semifinal appearance in 2011.  She was a member of the Nationa Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta (math honor society).

Personal:  Hernandez is the daughter of Arthur and Thelma Hernandez and is studying fashion merchandising.  She has a sister, Olivia.  She was born on April 29, 1995.
