Biography
2017 (Sophomore): Martin recorded a personal best time in the 3,000 (8:55.24) at the indoor conference championships. He also ran the 5000 and posted the second fastest time in school history (15:18.15). Martin opened the outdoor season with PR's in the 800 and 1500 at the UIW Cardinal Quadrangle. He crossed the line in 15:16.34 to better his time in the 5000. He ran his first collegiate 10,000 at the outdoor conference championships and placed eighth with the second fastest time in school history (32:27.31).
High School: Martin was a four-time cross country MVP and was a district champion. He was a two-time regional qualifier, two-time state qualifier, and an area champion in track and field. In the classroom, Martin was a member of the National Spanish Honor Society.
Personal: Martin is the son of Tim and Theresa Martin an is majoring in business-accounting. His dad, Tim, participated in track and cross country at the University of North Texas. He has one brother, Trent. Martin was born on February 23, 1997.
