Biography
2014 (Junior): Sosa once again did not compete during the indoor season. Outdoors, he focused on the steeplechase. He finished in second place in the 2,000-meter steeplechase at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. He won the 3,000-meter steeplechase at Trinity with a time of 10:24.04. He was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
2013 (Sophomore): Sosa did not compete during the indoor season, but became a solid steeple chaser in the outdoor season. He clocked a season best time of 10:15.88 at the J. Fred Duckett Twilight, the third best in school history. He was named to the Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
2012 (Freshman): Sosa was named to the Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll. He ran the 5,000 meters at three different meets. His best time of the year came at the Trinity Tiger Relays when he ran a 17:02.
High School: Sosa was on the baseball, cross country and track teams at Marion High School. He was a two-time Regional qualifier in cross country and track..
Personal: Sosa is the son of Simon and Isabel Sosa and is studying biology. He has three siblings; Erica, Simon and Nikki. He was born on April 12, 1993. His sister, Erica, played basketball at UIW.
