Biography
2013 (Sophomore): Harris earned All-Lone Star Conference, USTFCCCA All-Region (4x100 relay), USTFCCCA All-Academic Team and LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll citations during the year. He was the team's most consistent jumper and also shined in the sprints. He is third on the school's all-time charts in both the 100 meters (10.82) and long jump (23-2). He ran the opening leg of the LSC winning 4x100 relay team that crossed the tape in a time of 40.70 and had a season best of 40.64. He ran at the NCAA Division II national championships for a second straight year.
2012 (Freshman): Harris competed in both the sprints and jumps for the Cardinals. He earned All-America status in the 4x100-meter relay team, a squad that set the school record with a time of 40.61. During the indoor season he took second place in the long jump at the LSC Indoor Invitational. He was third in the 100 meters at the Trinity Tiger Relays and nabbed a second place in the long jump at the Trinity Alumni Classic. The 4x100 relay team finished in third at the LSC Outdoor Championships.
High School: Harris was on the track, basketball and football teams at Harris County High School. He was the football team's defensive player of the year. In track, he was an Academic All-American.
Personal: Harris is the son of Michael and Maritza Harris and is studying engineering management. He has two brothers, Mark and David. He was born on September 6, 1992.
