2024: Earned a spot on the Southland All-Conference third team with a bronze medal in the weight throw at the indoor conference championship.
2023: Was named first team All-Conference during the indoor season and second team during the outdoor season. Garrett also was named to the first team all-academic team.
High School: He qualified for the 1-5AÂ state competition as a junior ... he also competed on the football team for the Mustangs, where he was named to the 1st All-City team as a senior and to the 1st All-District Team as a junior ... as a student graduated in the top 15 percent.Â
