Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll

2015 (Junior):  Aguilar was the top thrower on the team.  He struggled a little bit during the indoor season with his best performances coming in the season opener at Houston.  He tied his career best in the shot put with a toss of 46-11.75 at the UIW Invitational.  He shown improvement throughout the season in the hammer throw.  He won the early season UIW Quad Meet with a toss of 131-2 and he closed the year with a career best throw of 147-9 at the Southland Conference Championships.  He was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll. 

2014 (Sophomore):  Aguilar was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.  He showed continued improvement during the indoor season in the weight throw with a top mark of 49-7.25 at the SLC Championships.  During the outdoor season he set a personal record in the shot put with a toss of 46-11.75 at the UTSA Invitational.  He had his best throw in the discus at the same meet with a mark of 140-10.  He has top 10 marks in school history in the shot put, discus, hammer and weight throw events.

2013 (Freshman):  Aguilar put together a solid season as the team's #2 thrower behind Chance Dziuk.  During the indoor season he was limited to one meet, the Lone Star Conference Championship, and posted a fourth place finish in the shot put with a toss of 46-2, second best in school history.  In the outdoor season, he showed promise with the second best shot put (44-4.75) and hammer throw (132-9) in school history.  He also showed improvement in the discus as the season went along.

High School:  Aguilar was on the football, basketball and track teams at Devine High School.  He earned Third Team All-State honors as a tight end and was the school's Thrower of the Year as a senior.

Personal:  Aguilar is the son of Ernest and Mari Aguilar and is studying business administration.  He has a brother, Andres.  He was born on April 9, 1994.
