Coach Noah Berney joined the UIW Track & Field coaching staff in September 2023.
Prior to UIW Berney graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a bachelors of Science in Kinesiology. Following his graduation from SFA Berney became a volunteer coach at the university. He was later hired as an assistant coach where he spent the next two years before joining the staff at UIW. While at SFA he was a part of the coaching staff for the 4x400 relay runner up finish at NCAA National Championships.
Berney has also coached National qualifiers in the Heptathlon, Decathlon, Pole Vault, High Jump, 400H, 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay.
He's coached dozens of (WAC and Southland) Conference Champions and many more conference medalists across the Jumps/Hurdles/Combined Events groups.
