Biography
High School: Woods competed in both track and football. He won five meets in the 100m in 2017, following two years of not competing in the event. He was a Top-40 runner at the prestigious Texas Relays with a time of 10.85. He won the UIL 6A-District 21 in both the 100m and 200m. Among his PRs: 10.68 (100m), 21.68 (200m), 16'7" (long jump), and 41'4.5" (triple jump). He was the 2017 district champion in the 100m, the district runner-up in the 200m, and was part of the bronze medal-winning 4x400m relay team. He was the district champion in the 4x100. In football, the team was the regional champion in 2016. In the classroom, he was an AP Scholar, Academic All-District, and was a member of orchestra, Student Council, and Black Student Union.
Personal: Woods is the son of Corinna Ferrier and Alonzo Woods, Sr. and is studying engineering at UIW with the dream of being an aerospace engineer. He has one sister, Alaina Ferrier. He was born on October 25, 1998, in New Orleans, La.
