2013 (Junior):  Hernandez once again competed at every possible distance besides the steeplechase.  During the indoor season he ran the fourth best 3000 meters in school history with a time of 8:59.61.  Once the season moved outdoors, he did especially well in the 5000 and 10,000 meters.  He clocked a 15:28.61 in the 5K at the J. Fred Duckett Twilight and a time of 32:41.00 in the 10K at the Trinity Invitational, the #2 time in school history.  He was named to the Lone Star Conference All-Academic Team during the indoor season.  He was on the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll and was earned the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award.

2012 (Sophomore):  Hernandez was named to the Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.  He took seventh in the 3,000 meters and eighth in the 5,000 meters at the LSC Indoor Invitational.  He ran everything from the 800 to the 10,000 meters during the outdoor season.

2011 (Freshman):  Hernandez had a fifth place finish in the 5,000 meters at the Angelo State David Noble Relays.  He missed earning points at the Lone Star Conference Outdoor Championships by one place in the 10,000 meters when he took ninth place.

High School:  Hernandez was on the cross country and soccer teams at Wagner High School.

Personal:  Hernandez is the son of Jesus and Luz Hernandez and is studying environmental science.  He has two sisters, Susana and Mary.  He was born on November 15, 1991 in Mexico.
