Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll

2014-15 (Junior):  Hoverson was a regular in the UIW lineup his first season with the program.  He had his most singles success at #6 where he went 5-4.  He played with five doubles partners throughout the season and had the most success with Josip Smoljan going 5-4.  He picked up a tough three-set win at #13 Texas A&M and also knocked off his opponent at #4 singles against Abilene Christian in three sets.  He was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Previous:  Hoverson played two seasons of tennis at Cowley College.  He had an outstanding career winning a pair of Region VI singles and doubles titles.  He finished in seventh place at the ITA Small College National Double Tourney as a freshman.  He was a semifinalist in both singles and doubles at NJCAA nationals.  He led the team to both conference and regional titles and a fourth place finish at nationals as a sophomore.  He graduated with a 3.87 grade point average.

High School:  Hoverson played tennis at Red River High School in North Dakota.  He finished in fourth place in North Dakota as a junior and helped the team to four state titles.  He played at the John Newcombe Tennis Academy in New Braunfels.

Personal:  Hoverson is the son of James and Ellarene Hoverson and is studying accounting.  He has a brother, Sean.  He was born on April 11, 1994.  He is a member of Delta Mu Delta and Alpha Chi at UIW.
