Biography

High School:  O'Connell was on the swim team at Tuloso-Midway High School.  He was a two-time All-State selection and four-time all-region choice.  He was the team's MVP as a senior and set the district record in the breaststroke.  He led the team to three straight district titles.

Personal:  O'Connell is the son of Pat and Susan O'Connell and is studying criminal justice.  He has a sister, Christine, who swam at North Texas.  He was born on September 14, 1993.
