CCSA Third Team (200 fly)
CCSA All-Academic Team

2015-16 (Junior): Applin was a key player in his junior season, competing in a variety of events and taking home eighth place in the 200 IM at the CCSA Championships... also swam the butterfly leg on the 200 medley relay.

2014-15 (Sophomore):  Applin earned all-CCSA honors in the 100 fly, 200 fly, 400 freestyle relay and 400 medley relay.  In addition, he was named to the CCSA All-Academic Team... swam a variety of events including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and individual medley... won the 200 IM against Trinity.  At the UIW Christmas Invitational he finished first in the 200 fly, second in the 100 fly and third in the 50 free... was also part of the winning 200 free relay team... came in second in the 200 fly and 400 medley relay and third in the 100 fly and 400 free relay at the CCSA Championships.

2013-14 (Freshman):  Applin had a solid freshman campaign where his most success
came in the butterfly... finished third in the 200 fly and fourth in the 100 fly at the CCSA meet... was also 10th in the 200 individual medley at the same meet... swam multiple relay events throughout the season, but never made the "A" team... finished second in the 200 fly against UC-San Diego and was second in the 400 IM against Southwestern... cracked the Top 10 UIW Swimmer's List in the 100 and 200 fly events... was named to the CCSA All-Academic Team.

High School: Applin was on the swim team at MacArthur High School, where he was a state finalist, an All-State swimmer and a three times All-American. He was the team captain and earned the team MVP four times,

Personal: Applin is the son of Gregory and Loretta Applin and he has two brothers, Karson and Greg. Karson swam at the University of Utah. He is studying engineering management and was born on March 5, 1995.  He is a member of the UIW Engineering Club.
