2014-15 (Junior):  Hennessy continued his high success during his junior year.  He finished in first place in the 200 freestyle and the 200 backstroke against Southwestern.  During the UIW Christmas Invitational he finished in first place in the 500 freestyle and second in the 200 backstroke.  He finished third at the CSCAA championships in the 200 freestyle and second in the 1650 freestyle.  During the CCSA championships he finished second in the 500 freestyle (4:23.03), fourth in the 200 freestyle (1:37.97) and fourth in the 1650 freestyle (15:37.27) all in season best times.  He earned all-CCSA honors in the 500 freestyle, 800 freestyle relay and was also named to the CCSA All-Academic Team. 

2013-14 (Sophomore):  Hennessy had an impressive season taking over the reigns as the top distance swimmer on the team.  He earned a lot of points for the team at the CCSA Championships.  He was fourth in the second in the 500-yard freestyle, sixth in the 400 IM and he was the conference champion in the 1650 free.  He swam the third leg on the runner-up 800 free relay team that set a school record with a time of 6:34.10 at the CCSA meet.  He was also the individual champion in the 1650 free at the CSCAA Invitational.  Overall, he had 13 individual top three finishes at meets.  He swam the fourth fastest time in school history in the 500 free (4:24.32) and the seventh fastest time in the 1650 free (15:33.69).

2012-13 (Freshman): Hennessy swam a variety of events in his first year with the Cardinals. He had "B" qualifying standards in the 400 IM, 500 freestyle, 1000 freestyle and 1650 freestyle. His times in each of those events is a top 10 time in the program's history. He did not compete in either the RMAC of NCAA Division II Championships.

High School: Hennessy was on the swimming and water polo teams at Business Careers High School in San Antonio. He set school records in the 1000-yard freestyle, 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard butterfly, 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard backstroke, 100-yard backstroke, 400-yard individual medley and 200-yard individual medley. He was an All-American in the 500-yard freestyle and an A Finals State qualifier. He swam the B Finals at State in the 200-yard freestyle. He was a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Hennessy is the son of John and Karen Hennessy and is studying psychology with a minor in sociology.  He has a brother, Jack and a sister, Kathleen.  He was born on February 23, 1994.  He volunteers with San Antonio Youth Literacy.
