CCSA All-Academic Team

2015-16 (Junior): Flores swam butterfly and sprint freestyle for the Cardinals his Junior year and made some personal improvements in the water. He swam the 50 freestyle, 100 butterfly, and 200 butterfly at the conference championships in Athens, Georgia.

2014-15 (Sophomore):  Flores had a season similar to his freshman year where he peaked at the conference meet and UIW Christmas Invitational.  He swam his season best times in the 50 free, 100 fly and 200 fly at the CCSA Championships.  His second best times in those events all came at the UIW Christmas Invite.  He was named to the CCSA All-Academic Team.

2013-14 (Freshman):  Flores swam the freestyle sprint and butterfly events.  He had a strong UIW Christmas Invitational meet swimming his top times of the year in the 100-yard freestyle (48.14), 200 free (1:48.43) and 100 fly (51.42).  He posted his best time of the year in the 50 free at the CCSA Championships with a time of 21.95.  He finished second in the 100 fly against Southwestern.

High School: Flores was on the swim team at Sharyland High School where he was first team All-Region and an All-Valley All-star. He was a regional champion and a state qualifier. He was the team captain in his junior and senior years and holds the school record in the 100 freestyle and the 400 free relay.

Personal: Alex is the son of Elizabeth and Enrique Flores and has two brothers, Carlos and Luis. He is studying international business and was born on October 8, 1994.  He is a UIW SAAC representative, Residence Life RA and Creative Director for Residence Life.
