2026 (Senior): Concluded the most dominant career in program history in which she won Southland Conference Player of the Year honors for the second season in a row. Shattered her own program record for home runs in a season, belting 22, the most in the SLC and tied for 20th most in the country. Finished second in the entire nation on-base percentage (0.604), was third in walks (56), sixth in slugging percentage (1.021), 17th in runs scored (70), 28th in batting average (.441) and 30th in RBIs (66). Led the SLC in all those categories while also leading the conference in OPS (1.625). Reached safely in 51 of UIW's 54 games while getting on base at least once in each of the Cardinal's last 38 contests. Named First Team-All Central Region by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. Named to the Southland Conference's All-Academic Team.
2025 (Junior): Had a legendary season at the plate where she led the conference and set a new single season record with 18 home runs. Her slugging percentage (.956) on base percentage (.622), runs scored (62), batting average (.459) and OPS (1.597) all were also the best in the SLC. She was named All-Conference First Team, SLC Hitter of the Year, and SLC Player of the Year in the regular season. She also was named to the Southland All-Tournament Team and NFCA DI All-Region Third Team.
2024 (Sophomore): Started all 51 games for the Cardinals, leading the team in batting with a .444 batting average, 19 doubles, 52 RBIs, 75 hits, 55 runs scored, 12 home runs, and 134 total bases. Altamirano was named SLC Player of the Year and received NFCA All-Region Recognition. Was also named to the All-Academic First Team.Â
2023 (Freshman): During her freshman campaign, Altamirano played in 38 games for the Cardinals, totaling 22 runs, 33 hits, 11 doubles, three triples and five home runs. She led the team in runs, doubles and home runs while adding 15 RBIs on the season. She finished the season as the second leading batter with a .300 batting average.Â
