Biography

2014 (Sophomore): After transferring from Ohio State, Steurer played in seven games for the Cardinals and started in three as a defensive player. He played a season high of 90 minutes in the Cardinals first home game of the season where they lost 2-1 to Oral Roberts. He came in as a substitute against San Jose State where the Cardinals won 1-0 in an important Western Athletic Conference game.

Previous:  Steurer spent two years at Ohio State.  He red-shirted his first year and earned Academic All-Big 10 honors in 2013.

High School:  Steurer was a three-year starter on the soccer team at St. Louis University High School.  He was an all-Metro Catholic Conference selection as a junior and senior.  He earned Missouri All-State honors as a junior and senior and was an ESPN All-State choice as a senior.  He led his team to a State final berth in 2010 and semi-final appearance in 2011.

Personal:  Steurer is the son of John and Maureen Steurer and is studying finance.  He has four siblings; John, Matt, Shannon and Will.  He was born on July 26, 1993.  His younger brother Matt plays soccer at Santa Clara.
