University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

2017 (Senior): He started in 16 contests for the Cardinals. He had one goal on the year that came against Central Arkansas. He was named to the Academic All-Western Athletic Conference team with a 3.44 GPA. 

2016 (Junior): Diaz Fernandez played in nine games with eight starts as a Cardinal. He made one goal against the Air Force Falcons in the 2016 season.

Previous: Diaz Fernandez played soccer at San Jacinto Junior College where he was named newcomer of the year his freshman year and his team was runner-up in the district final his sophomore year.

High School: Diaz Fernandez attended high schoool at Maria Inmaculada in Spain and graduated in 2014.

Personal:  Diaz Fernandez is the son of Javier Diaz Viana and Angeles Fernandez Menendez and is studying international business. He has one brother, Sergio and was born January 5, 1994.
