Vinny Bailey is in his first season as a volunteer assistant coach with the men's soccer program. He had a distinguished career playing for the Cardinals leading the team to a pair of NCAA Division II Playoff appearances, a Lone Star Conference championship and a Southwest Regional championship.
Bailey was a midfielder for UIW from 2010-13 earning numerous honors during his career. He was a two-time first team all-LSC selection and the LSC Offensive Player of the Year in 2012. He was an NSCAA and Daktronics NCAA Division II First Team All-American in 2012 when he was one of the leading scorers in the nation with 16 goals and nine assists. Twice he was named Daktronics first team all-region in 2011 and 2012. As a senior, he was a third team NSCAA NCAA Division I All-Midwest Region selection. He was the UIW Male Athlete of the Year for 2012-13.
