Michael Terrell served as a graduate assistant coach for the Cardinals for three seasons before officially moving into the role of Assistant Coach - College Recruitor during the summer of 2013.
Terrell has played a crucial role in the Cardinals success going back each year to his native country of England to bring back top notch talent. The 2012 team had three players from England on the squad and all three earned all-conference honors. Vinny Bailey, a native of Southport, Eng., was a First Team All-America.
In his first three years on the staff, the Cardinals never won fewer than 13 games and went 42-9-7 with two playoff appearances, a Lone Star Conference title and South Central Region title.
Terrell was a four-year starter in the midfield for the Cardinals. He was a spot kick specialist who was 8-for-8 in his career on penalty kicks. He finished his career with 16 goals and 14 assists. He was a two-time all-region and three-time all-conference choice and led the team in scoring in 2009.
Terrell is currently studying for his Masters in Sports Management and has playing experience for Newcastle United. He also coaches a local youth team for San Antonio United.
