Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll
2014-15 (Junior): Martinez waited all year to get his name put in the lineup and he made the most of the opportunity at the PGA Minority Collegiate Championships. After struggling with an opening round 87 he finished with a 76-72 showing to finish in 28th place as the team earned runner-up honors. He was named to the Southland Commissioner's Honor Roll.
2013-14 (Sophomore): Martinez played one tournament for the Cardinals at the Territory Classic hosted by Cameron. He finished 21st after rounds of 80 and 74.
High School: Martinez was the golf district champion as a senior at Robstown High School. He was the first golfer in school history to advance to the regional tournament.
Personal: Martinez is the son of Pedro and Sylvia Martinez and is majoring in business management. He has two sisters, Amanda Cantu and Andrea Williams. He was born on February 10, 1993. He is a UIW Orientation leader and peer mentor.
