Biography

Previous:  Benavides was on the track and cross country teams at UT-Pan American his freshman year.

High School:  Benavides made three State Meet appearances in both cross country and track at Lytle High School.  He was the State 3A Runner-Up in the 3200 meters as a senior.

Personal:  Benavides is the son of Cristella Arellano and Eddie Maciel and is undecided on his field of study.  He has a brother, Frank and a sistser, Areal.  He was born on September 9, 1992.
