University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

High School:  Salas was a member of the cross country, basketball and track teams at East Central High School.  He was a three-time Regional qualifier and was the District champion as a senior.  He was the team MVP as a sophomore and a senior.  He finished in third place in the 3200 meters at Regionals his senior year and missed qualifying for State by a half second.

Personal:  Salas is the son of Eduardo and Maria Salas and is studying kinesiology.  He has two brothers, Alvaro and Luis.  He was born on January 24, 1994.
