Biography
Senior (2024): Was named to the SLC All-Conference First Team.
Junior (2024): Neal won both the 10k and 5k at outdoor conference to earn first team honors. He went on to finish his season at the NCAA West Regional. Neal broke two UIW records during outdoor season. First the 5k (13:49.14) and later the 10k (30:06.92)
Junior (2023):Â Named to First Team All-Conference... named Student-Athlete of the Year...named second team All-Conference during indoor season
Sophomore (2022): Neal was crowned the male Student-Athlete of the Year... Neal placed in the top three finishers for the first three meets this season and took fifth in the Southland Conference Championship Meet to qualify for the NCAA South Central Regional Championships.
Freshman (2021): Neal was named to the SLC second team.
High School: Neal was a two-time 4A state qualifier (2018, 2019) in cross country at Wimberly. As a student, Neal was a member of the National Honor Society and had an all A’s final average.

Personal: Griffin Erich Neal is the son of Rick and Chrissy Neal … has two siblings Bryce and Reed … is pursuing a major in sports with a minor in business … was born in Austin, Texas on Oct. 23, 2001.
