Biography
2018 (Freshman): Competed in all five events for the Cardinals including an appearance at the NCAA DI South Central Region Cross Country Championships … placed 18th at the Ken Garland Invitational, helping the team to a win … finished 9th at the UIW Invitational, his top finish of the season to help the team win the event.
High School: Gonzalez was a member of the cross country and track teams at Churchill High School... was named First Team All-District in both sports... graduated cum laude and was a member of Parliament, Winners Circle, Unity Club, and Fishing Club... was a member of the All-Area, All-District, and All-State Academic Teams.
Personal: Gonzalez is the son of Joel and Patricia and is majoring in psychology with a minor in biology. He has two sisters, Briana and Kelly. He was born on February 23, 1999, in San Antonio.
