2014 (Junior):  McElroy was a solid outside linebacker for the Cardinals in his first year with the program.  He had a season high seven tackles in the opener against Sacramento State.  In his final four games of the year he recorded 3.5 tackles for loss that registered 25 yards lost for the opposition.  He had a sack and a forced fumble against Sam Houston State.

Previous:  McElroy had a big sophomore season at Laney College.  He had 59 tackles, 17.0 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks en route to earning First Team All-California Community College Region II.  He was named the conference defensive most valuable player.

High School:  At Temecula Valley High School, McElroy  recorded 199 tackles and 26.0 sacks in his final three seasons.  He recorded 13 sacks in his senior season.  He was the team's defensive lineman of the year, once and the defensive MVP another year.

Personal:  McElroy is the son of Shaniqua Lawrence and James Martin and is studying psychology with a minor in sociology.  He has two siblings, Jessica and Johnathon and he was born on May 9, 1993.
