Biography
2013 (Junior): Mora opened the season with a fifth place finish at the Alamo City Opener. At the Texas Lutheran Invitational, Mora took first place after running 3.25 miles in 16:03.98. His fastest 8K time of the year was a 27:09.8 at the Southland Conference Championship, which placed him 41st. Mora was named the TXRunning.com DI Runner of the week in the first week of the season. He was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
2012 (Sophomore): Mora lead the team with a first place finish and season best run of 26:28 at the UIW Invitational. He finished third in the Alamo City 6K after running a time of 20.07 and at the Lone Star Conference meet he ran a time of 26:33 to take 25th place. He was named to the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
2011 (Freshman): Mora opened his UIW career by leading the team at the Baylor Twilight 6K with a time of 19:35.6 to take 13th place overall. He finished in ninth place at the UIW Invitational running a time of 28:37.8. His fastest 8K time of the year was a 27:09.87 at the Oklahoma State Invitational in Stillwater, OK. He was named to the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
High School: Mora was on the track and cross country teams at Wagner High School. He was a four-time individual district champion, twice in the 1600 meters, once in the 3200 meters and once in cross country. He led the cross country team to a district and Region 4-5A title. He was a three-time Regional qualifier in both track and cross country. He owns school records in the 1500 meters, 1600 meters, 3200 meters, three miles and 5,000 meters. He graduated with a 3.84 GPA.
Personal: Mora is the son of Pete and Charlene Mora and is studying business with a minor in kinesiology. He has a twin brother, Mario, who is also on the UIW track and cross country teams. He has two other siblings; Gina and Moises.
