High School: Competed in cross country and both sprints and distance in track at John Jay... won both the San Antonio Southside Cardinal Relays and the Alamo Relays in both the 400m and 800m. Among his personal records: indoor 400m (49.77), outdoor 400m (49.34), 800m, 1:55.68, 3200m (10:41.66), 3000m cross country (12:07.15), 3 mile cross country (18:27.95), and the 5k cross country (18:04.74).
