Biography
High School: Parson has an extensive resume, competing in the 100m hurdles, 100m dash, 110m hurdles, 200m dash, 300m hurdles, high jump, long jump, and triple jump. In 2017 alone, she posted 17 gold medals. She set a new PR in the triple jump at the UIL 6A-District 29-30 championships with a leap of 37'11.25". She also set a PR in the 300m hurdles at the UIL 6A-District 29 with a 46.93 clocking. She had two Top-10 finishes at the UIL Track and Field Championships in 2017. She has set PRs in the following events: 100m hurdles (15.06), 100m (12.71), 110m hurdles (17.44), 200m (27.34), 300m hurdles (46.93), high jump (5'6"), long jump (16'7.75"), and triple jump (37'11.25"). She was named Jumper of the Year all four years, was a back-to-back state qualifier, and holds the school record in the high jump. She was a member of the Student Council.
Personal: Parson is the daughter of Walter - a Purple Heart veteran - and Vianna Barnett and is studying kinesiology with a minor in psychology. She has two siblings, Bailey and Billie. She was born on September 15, 1998, in Del Rio, Texas.
