Biography

2017 (Senior): Started in all 17 games for the Cardinals. He scored once and had a team high four assists on the year. He played 1411 mins which was the fourth most on the team. He scored against Houston Baptist. He went the full 90 mins of play on eight occasions on the year also adding a 110 min game against Cornell as well. He was named to the Academic All-Western Athletic Conference team with a 3.39 GPA. 

2016 (Red-shirted)

2015 (Junior):
Brown started in all of the Cardinals’ 16 games in 2015. He played the entire 90 minutes in 13 games and led the team in minutes with 1377. He was a big part of a Cardinal defense that completed three shutouts and allowed 1.69 goals per game. He was named to his second consecutive academic All-WAC team. He collected his first two collegiate assists in one game against CSU Bakersfield in which he helped the Cardinals take a 3-2 victory. 

2014 (Sophomore): Over his sophomore year, Brown grew to become a strong leader on the team and started in all 19 games. Central to the defensive backline, he contributed to four shutouts and an impressive 6-3-1 record in UIW's debut season in the Western Athletic Conference. He scored his one and only goal of the season in a 3-2 loss against Grand Canyon University when he headed home a free kick in the 86th minute of the game. He earned WAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after the Cardinals' second shut out against Houston Baptist University where the defense limited the Huskies to only two shots on goal.  Brown was named on to the All-WAC second team and earned All-WAC Academic Team honors. 

2013 (Freshman): Brown became a key starter in the Cardinals defense in his debut season and stepped into his role confidently after the Cardinals suffered from a number of injuries in their backline. He scored his first and only goal of the season against the University of Missouri at Kansas City.  It proved to be the game winning goal in a 3-1 victory. He was named onto the College Sports Madness Independent All-Conference Second Team.  He started the first 11 games of the season and played over 45 minutes in all but one contest.

High School: Brown was on the soccer team at The Becket School. In 2011, he captained the Pelican Colts to win the County Cup. He won the James Monaghan Trophy as the Sportsman of the Year. In 2012, he was the Young Player of the Season for the Dunkirk Colts making 11 appearances at the age of 16. He was part of the Dunkirk U19 team that won the Shield. In his final season he appeared for the Dunkirk first team making 24 appearances and scoring two goals. He was part of the U19 team that went through four qualifying round to make the first round of the FA Youth Cup.

Personal: Brown is the son of Keith and Janine Brown and is studying business management. He has a sister, Charlotte.
