Southland Commissioner's Honor Roll

2014 (Freshman): Mead finished in the top ten in her first race as a Cardinal in the Alamo City Opener with a time of 15:35.62 for 6th place. She was part of the 5 runner pack that finished in the top 35 in 31st place with a 20:43.86 race. As a true freshman, Mead finished in 40th place at the SLC Championships 6K with a time of 23:02.1 to finish the season. She was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

High School:  Mead was on the cross country and track teams at Newport Harbor High School.  She set a cross country personal best at the Sunset League finals with a time of 18:52.  In track, she had personal records of 5:23 in the 1600 and 11:53 in the 3200 meters.

Personal:  Mead is the daughter of Margaret Walker Scavo and Norman Mead and is studying sociology with a minor in economics.  She has two sisters, Melissa and Coleen.  Melissa was on the cross country and track teams at UC-Irving and Coleen played basketball at Penn State Beaver.  She was born on May 21, 1996.  She is a member of the UIW Fellowship of Christian Athletes and she volunteers with Royal Family Kids, a summer camp for foster children.
